Since I was a little girl, my dream had always been to have my own stationery store. My passion for it started when I was around five years old. I would draw, paint and create cards and little books to sell to my parents and neighbors. I would save the profits to invest in anything related to stationery.

As the years went by, my life took a few turns. Being born in Colombia, then moving to the US when I was 13 years old, I had to learn English as my second language. I graduated from The University of New Haven; and then went on to obtain both a Connecticut and New York State Real Estate license. I became a Realtor. I have also been the personal assistant to best-selling author, TV and radio personality, Mike Greenberg “Greeny”, from ESPN, since 2012.

I have devoted many years to personal growth, and community services through leadership organizations such as the well-recognized, non-profit organization, Junior Chamber International (JCI). However, through all these years, my dream was still very much present in my daily life. What had been my favorite hobby my whole life, was getting more attention from my personal circle and it became clear to me that this was more than just my hobby, it was my passion. That I wanted to turn it into a business to inspire other people to live their purpose. Along the way, I have been very blessed because of all the support I have received from my closest circle. I am very fortunate to have great mentors in all areas of my life, who have provided me with valuable knowledge as I embark on this new journey with my Echi Creations business, to reach for the moon.

How did the name Echi Creations come to be?

When I began working for “Greeny” in 2012 he started calling me “echi”, I was a bit puzzled, so I asked, why do you call me “echi”? and he said, isn’t your last name Echivarria? I corrected him, by then, most people had already started calling me Echi. Which I loved, and found unique. So it clicked immediately, I named my business in secrecy, Echi Creations. I have now Trademarked it.
